Do you question your abilities to be truly helpful to grieving friends, colleagues, family members or clients? Do you feel excited about the possibilities of gaining the knowledge and skills you need to be effective in these situations in the future?

If so, the Accredited Grief Support Certification On-Line Training I offer through Taking Flight International Corporation, is for you.

While you may have already taken some courses on grief, and while they gave you knowledge of the emotional impact of grief, they likely lacked in addressing how grief affects the mind, the physical body and how it impacts social relationships, including work relationships.

The Accredited Grief Support Certification Training I offer through Taking Flight International Corporation provides you knowledge of the effects of grief on each of these aspects of humanness and gives you the skills to help grievers heal in each of these areas

Grief affects every aspect of humanness. Grief memories and emotions are processed by the brain and because of the brain’s connection to the nervous system, grief memories are also stored in the body and the human energy system. This has ramifications on all aspects of human functioning and on relationships. This knowledge is essential in understanding the importance of using the Four-Part Model for Healing Grief developed by Dr. Jane A. Simington, and taught in this training program.

Recognizing that at the root of a desire to take one’s life, are depressive feelings of hopelessness and powerless resulting from a sense of spiritual disconnection, and acknowledging that unless the root cause is addressed, true healing will not happen, Simington suspends her model for healing from a framework that addresses first, the spiritual distress being experienced, and incorporates right hemisphere-appealing strategies, including therapeutic art, guided visualization, and sacred ceremony as therapeutic measures to heal the spiritual disconnection being experienced; and to then move the person at-risk for suicide in a direction of spiritual transformation.
