Harvesting September’s Wisdom...
I regularly read newsletters from people I respect and admire and Dr. Jane Simington PhD. is one of those people I admire. Dr. Jane is an award winning author, sought-after speaker and grief and trauma therapist. Her timely reminders are helpful and uplifting to me. Below I share an excerpt that I hope you enjoy as the leaves start to change colors and fall gently to the ground.
“As the Autumn Equinox approaches, day and night move toward a moment of balance. For a brief time, light and darkness stand as equals. It feels like a gentle reminder that life itself is a continual balancing act: work and rest, activity and reflection, and holding on and letting go. The trees understand this wisdom well. They do not cling desperately to every leaf. They do not fear being bare. Trees know that letting go is not giving up; letting go is making space. Perhaps faith asks the same of us. The School of September invites us to reflect on the wisdom of Autumn, to find the courage to release what no longer serves, and to hold immense gratitude for the abundance surrounding us.”
